Predatory commodification and housing renovation

چکیده
This study explores the renovation of housing governed by two tenure forms in Sweden, rental and cooperative housing. Based on a relational approach, we argue that despite requiring similar need maintenance at regular intervals, takes substantially different form compared to cooperatives, regarding extent work, involvement of, outcome for, residents. With concept predatory commodification, aim examining how process is organized, what driving forces motivate renovations, along with it impacts affected Our contribution twofold: firstly, conceptualize as commodifying process, within realm financialization, most often carried out brutally contributing inequality; secondly, our empirical covers from contrasting perspective field still under-studied Scandinavian context.
